It’s official – Kimora Lee Simmons is bringing her iconic millennium fashion brand Baby Phat all the way into 2019. Here’s how you can get a hold of it!
Millennials, rejoice – everybody’s favourite early noughties fashion brand, Baby Phat, has is relaunching and we’re ready to start living our most nostalgic, rhinestone-embellished lives.
Founder and former model Kimora Lee Simmons Leissner started the streetwear brand back in 1999, and now, she’s returning with a huge relaunch, including a collaboration with Forever 21.
The iconic slinky cat is coming back to life in an inclusive size range which goes up to size 4X, and features a collection of hip-hop inspired clothes including items like tube tops, mini skirts, co-ords, biker shorts, sweaters, bodysuits and more.
“Fashion has such a nuanced life cycle, and I’m thrilled to bring back Baby Phat with this capsule for Forever 21,” Simmons Leissner told Refinery29. She’s also working on the collaboration with her daughters, Ming Lee, 19 and Aoki Lee, 16.
“Now that Ming Lee and Aoki Lee are grown and working on the brand they grew up with, it means so much to me to introduce Baby Phat to a whole new generation who didn’t get a chance to experience our first go around.”
Unlike previous collections, which included clothing, footwear and accessories, the new relaunch will only feature 18 clothing items, all priced between $15 and $25.
The collection has already dropped in over in the US, but it’s unclear whether to not the popular streetwear revamp with launch over in the UK.
